For the professional test, uni-assist applicants will have to pay a fee. As determined by the uni-assist general assembly, this fee amounts to 55 € for your first application. Citizens of the EU have to pay 30 € while Chinese applicants who have a APS-certificate available only need to pay 25 €. The fee is 15 € for every subsequent application to any another university.

Please transfer the fee to uni-assist one the same day that you send your application.

Which papers are necessary for an application to uni-assist?

  • High school diploma and any other documents that qualify you for studying at a university
  • Reports and overviews of marks or transcripts for any studies up to now, if you have already studied.
  • Proof of German language skill required for studying at University Koblenz-Landau: Test of German as a foreign language (TestDaF Level 4).
  • Certified copy of your valid passport (only the page with your personal data)
  • Copy of the deposit slip for your paid application fee

uni-assist requires all these documents to be submitted as certified copies as well as certified German translations. Please do not send any originals!

Application Deadlines

  • 15th of December to apply for summer semesters
  • 15th of June to apply for winter semesters

Applications for study courses with restricted admission (numerus clausus) have to be handed in to uni-assist in their completed form by this date. If you are applying for another course that has no restricted admission, it is possible to hand in some documents later.

However, to clear up any unresolved questions and to guarantee timely processing of your application, we strongly recommend you hand in your application to uni-assist some time before the official application deadline.

What happens after applying through uni-assist?

If you meet the formal requirements for an application (higher education entrance qualification and German language test), uni-assist will transfer your documents to the university. The university then decided whether you are granted permission to study or whether you are assigned to the Studienkolleg Mainz.

If you do not meet the formal requirements you will be informed by uni-assist. Please give your email address if possible. This way, remaining questions can be dealt with a lot faster and more reliably.

Your submitted documents must remain with uni-assist, and unfortunately, cannot be returned to you.

Fee

There are different ways to pay your application fee. You can either pay via direct debit from a German bank account or pay with a credit card. The form can be downloaded from the uni-assist website.
